Amber Keratin Grain – 50g

The Amber colour provides a warm-toned keratin option for compatible hair-extension preparation where this shade is appropriate for the extension hair being worked on.

The appearance of the finished attachment will depend on the extension shade, amount of keratin used, bond size and professional preparation technique.

Hot-Melt Keratin Granules

Unlike pre-shaped re-bonds or glue sticks, keratin grain is supplied as small individual granules. This allows the professional fitter to select an appropriate amount of keratin for the extension strand and bond being prepared.

The granules can be heated in a compatible melting pot until workable before being used according to the chosen professional pre-bonding technique.

For Tipping & Re-Tipping Hair Extensions

Keratin grain can be used when creating new compatible pre-bonded extension attachments or replacing existing keratin tips on suitable extension hair.

Previously worn extension strands should be checked before re-tipping to ensure they remain suitable for further use, and any old keratin or adhesive residue should be appropriately removed first.

For Creating Pre-Bonded Hair Extensions

The granules may also be used with compatible extension hair when creating individual pre-tipped or pre-bonded strands using an appropriate professional method.

The quantity of keratin and extension hair used within each attachment should be appropriate for the intended fitting method.

Using Keratin Grain

Place an appropriate quantity of granules into a compatible keratin melting pot and heat according to the equipment and professional preparation technique being used.

Once the keratin has softened sufficiently, use the required amount to form or replace the attachment on the prepared extension strand. Shape the bond appropriately and allow it to cool before proceeding with application.

Heat Safety: Keratin grain requires heated application equipment. Avoid direct contact with melted keratin or heated tools and follow the appropriate professional preparation and fitting technique.

Keratin Bond Performance

Once applied, the keratin forms the attachment used in the selected pre-bonded extension method. Actual bond performance and wear will depend on the quantity of keratin used, extension preparation, fitting technique, maintenance and individual wear.

Removing Compatible Keratin Bonds

Compatible Chinese-based keratin attachments can be professionally removed using suitable bond-removal pliers together with an appropriate 50ml Acetone Bond Remover where the keratin system is suitable for acetone-based removal.

A HairX Pro Bond Removal Plier can be used to compress and work apart compatible keratin attachments during the professional removal process.

Do not pull or force bonded extension hair from the natural hair. The bond should first be sufficiently broken down before the extension is carefully released.

Professional Training Recommended: Keratin grain is recommended for professionals familiar with pre-bonded hair-extension preparation, melting equipment and keratin bond formation.
