Nail-Tips are individual pre-bonded strands of human hair. The shaped keratin attachment gives the method its Nail-Tip or U-Tip name. During fitting, a trained stylist works with small sections of the natural hair and uses a heat connector to form each attachment.
Because the extensions are applied strand by strand, the stylist has flexibility over placement, distribution and the overall finished result.

A 0.5g strand contains less hair per individual bond, whereas a 1.0g strand provides more hair per strand. The most suitable option will depend on the natural hair, desired volume and the fitting plan created by the stylist.

Correct aftercare can make a considerable difference to the appearance and usable life of human hair extensions. Brush gently from the ends upwards while supporting the attachment area, wash the hair upright using suitable extension aftercare products and ensure the roots and attachments are completely dry before sleeping.
Avoid concentrated heat directly on the bonds and keep oils, conditioners and heavy creams away from the attachment area. We also do not recommend colouring, bleaching, toning or using silver, purple or other colour-depositing shampoos on our hair extensions.

We recommend professional fitting. Nail-Tips require correct sectioning, placement and controlled use of a heat connector. Professional fitting also allows the stylist to assess whether the method is suitable for the client's natural hair.
As a general guide, for 0.5g strands we suggest around 100 strands (4 packs) for a half head and 200 strands (8 packs) for a full head. For 1.0g strands, we suggest around 75 strands (3 packs) for a half head and 150 strands (6 packs) for a full head. The exact amount required will vary depending on the client's natural hair and desired result.
The usable life of the hair varies according to fitting, maintenance, heat styling and aftercare. With suitable care, HairXtensions human hair extensions typically have a usable lifespan of around 2–3 months. The appropriate maintenance or removal timing for a fitted set should be discussed with the professional stylist.
We do not recommend colouring, bleaching or toning our hair extensions. We also recommend avoiding silver, purple, blue and other colour-depositing shampoos. Choosing the closest suitable shade before ordering is the safest option.
No. Fitted extensions should not be slept in while wet or damp. Make sure the hair, roots and attachment areas are completely dry before bed, and secure the lengths in a loose plait or low ponytail where appropriate.
