Our Black Keratin Grain Rice / Granules – 100g are designed for professional hair-extension tipping, re-tipping and preparation of compatible pre-bonded hair extensions.
Supplied in a larger 100g pack, the Black keratin granules can be softened using a compatible keratin hot pot or heat applicator before being used to create, replace or reshape keratin attachments on suitable extension hair.
The Black colour provides a darker keratin option for professional hair-extension preparation where the attachment colour needs to coordinate with dark natural hair or extension shades.
The finished appearance will depend on the extension shade, quantity of keratin used, bond size and professional preparation technique.
This larger 100g pack contains small individual keratin granules, allowing the professional fitter to select an appropriate quantity for each extension strand or batch being prepared.
The granule format is useful for professional pre-tipping and re-tipping because the amount of keratin can be adjusted according to the extension strand and attachment being created.
Black keratin can be considered when working with dark extension and natural hair shades where a darker bond colour is appropriate.
Colour suitability should always be assessed before application, as the finished appearance will vary according to the hair shade, placement and size of the keratin attachment.
Black keratin grain can be used when creating new compatible pre-bonded extension attachments or replacing existing keratin tips on suitable extension hair.
Previously worn extension strands should be checked before re-tipping to ensure they remain suitable for further use, and any remaining keratin or adhesive residue should be appropriately removed first.

Keratin granules may also be used when professionally preparing individual pre-tipped or pre-bonded extension strands using a suitable heated application method.
The quantity of keratin and extension hair used within each attachment should be appropriate for the intended fitting method and extension strand.
Place an appropriate quantity of granules into a compatible keratin hot pot, or use suitable professional heated application equipment according to the preparation method being followed.
Once the keratin has softened sufficiently, use the required amount to form or replace the attachment on the prepared extension strand. Shape the bond appropriately and allow the keratin to set before further handling or application.
Setting time can vary depending on the quantity of keratin used, equipment and professional preparation technique.
Once correctly prepared, the keratin forms the attachment used in the selected pre-bonded extension method. Actual bond performance and wear will depend on the quantity of keratin used, extension preparation, fitting technique, maintenance and individual wear.
Compatible keratin attachments can be professionally removed using suitable bond-removal pliers together with an appropriate 50ml Acetone Bond Remover where the particular keratin system is suitable for acetone-based removal.
A HairX Pro Bond Removal Plier can be used to compress and work apart compatible keratin attachments during the professional removal process.
Do not pull or force a bonded extension from the natural hair. The attachment should first be sufficiently broken down before the extension is carefully released.
Our 100g Keratin Grain is also available in alternative colours:
