HairX Pro Replacement Tape Tabs are designed for reapplying compatible Tape-In Hair Extensions during professional maintenance and refitting. Their compact contoured shape features a slightly curved edge, making them suitable for positioning in different areas of the hair where compatible replacement adhesive tabs are required.
Supplied in a pack of 60 individual tape tabs, they are designed to provide a flexible adhesive attachment when correctly applied to clean, prepared Tape-In extension sections.
Tape-In extensions generally require replacement adhesive when they are removed and prepared for refitting. These HairX Pro tabs are designed to be applied to compatible Tape-In extension sections after the previous adhesive has been properly removed and the attachment surface has been prepared.
Correct preparation is important. Residue, oils or moisture remaining on the extension tape area can affect how the replacement adhesive performs.
The replacement tabs have an approximate stated hold time of 2–4 weeks. Actual wear can vary depending on application, hair characteristics, scalp oil production, aftercare, washing routine, products used and individual wear.
Each replacement tab has a compact contoured shape with a slightly curved edge. The smaller format provides flexibility when working with compatible tape attachments in different areas of the head.
Placement may include front, side or back sections where the size and shape of the tape tab are appropriate for the extension being reapplied.
Before applying replacement tape, the previous adhesive should be removed from the extension attachment and the surface should be clean and suitably prepared.
Replacement tabs should not simply be applied over old adhesive residue. Follow the appropriate Tape-In removal, cleaning and refitting procedure for the extension system being used.
Once the Tape-In extension has been cleaned and prepared, remove the backing from the replacement tab and position it carefully over the compatible tape attachment area.
Ensure the replacement tab is correctly aligned before fitting the extension back into the hair. During application, suitable Tape-In fitting tools can be used to apply controlled pressure across the attachment where appropriate.
