The HairX Pro Tape Scraper Tool is designed to assist with removing old adhesive from compatible Tape-In Hair Extensions when preparing the extensions for reapplication.
The scraper provides a controlled way to work softened adhesive residue away from the Tape-In tab area and is supplied with 10 replacement scraper blades. It can also be used alongside the HairX Pro Tape Removal Board, available as part of our complete Tape Tabs Removal Kit.
When Tape-In extensions are being prepared for refitting, the existing adhesive normally needs to be removed before new replacement tape tabs are applied.
The HairX Pro Tape Scraper Tool is designed to help lift and remove softened adhesive residue from the Tape-In tab area using a controlled scraping action.
The scraper is supplied with 10 replacement blades, allowing the working blade to be changed when it becomes worn, damaged or otherwise unsuitable for continued use.
Inspect the blade before each use and replace it when necessary to maintain appropriate control during adhesive removal.
Before using the scraper, we recommend applying a compatible Tape-In Hair Extensions Remover to help soften the existing adhesive.
Allow the remover suitable time to work before carefully working the scraper across the adhesive tab area. Avoid applying excessive pressure if the residue remains resistant.
Place the Tape-In extension on a suitable protected working surface with the adhesive tab accessible. Once the old adhesive has been softened with a compatible remover, position the scraper at the edge of the adhesive and carefully work across the tab area to lift away the residue.
Repeat the process as required until the old adhesive has been sufficiently removed. The extension should then be appropriately cleaned and prepared before new adhesive is applied.
Once the old adhesive has been removed and the Tape-In extension has been correctly cleaned and prepared, compatible HairX Pro Replacement Tape Tabs can be applied before professional refitting.
Correct cleaning and preparation are important because residual remover, oils or old adhesive can affect the performance of replacement tape.
